Uncommon in the Bordeaux wine trade, JCP Maltus’s own internal team is in charge of selling as well as producing. With clients in over seventy countries, our reach and understanding of local conditions and requirements have been established for over twenty-five years.
It was only a matter of time before we were called upon to source other wines from the great and good of our region. With our affiliates, we have taken strong positions on the en-primeur market since 2015, augmented by physical acquisitions of prior vintages. In 2018 plans were made to bring all of this stock in-house and create a wine trading or negociant business to rival those companies not endowed with such global reach or vision.
This gave birth to JCP Maltus Domaines et Châteaux, a company whose success relies on financial strength but, above all, on some serious ambition.
At JCP Maltus Domaines et Châteaux the team is made up of dedicated people speaking many languages including English, French, German, Italian, and Chinese.
Wine trading is all about teamwork, with our specialists using good sense and insider knowledge to select the best crus. Since the creation of the company, our ambitious experts from around world have succeeded in negotiating coveted allocations directly from Bordeaux Chateaux and other World-Class Producers known for their professionalism.
Our approach is based on an ability to build deep-rooted partnerships between our team and the Chateaux that we are fortunate enough and proud to represent and source from - including producers such as our neighbours Château Cheval Blanc, Château Pavie and, on the left bank, Château Pichon-Longueville, Château Rauzan-Ségla. We regularly trade many iconic wines, such as Rayas, DRC, Clos Rougeard, Masseto.
The result: high quality and diversity enabling us to fulfil every customer’s request.
Quantity is nice, but quality is a must. To ensure the best storage conditions for our carefully selected wines, we put the latest technology to work by investing heavily in our modern, secure and climate-controlled warehouse.
Located next to Château Teyssier, where it all began, and inaugurated in 2021, this facility encompasses the company offices and a fully equipped tasting room for hosting our clients. We are honoured to count among them Michelin-starred restaurants, distributors, importers, connoisseurs and professionals from Europe, Eastern Europe, Africa, the Americas, the Middle East and Asia.
